I was just curious if anyone out there had attempted the chipless modding process for the XboX yet? I was watching the whole process on one of my favorite tv shows and was also informed that you can get the info from this web site: http://kevinrose.typepad.com/kr/darktips/index.html Who new Mech Assault and 007 were such helpfull games!?

Yeah, I don't watch it as much as I should but whenever I do catch it, I come across info like the chipless modding of the Xbox. I would like to try it but not unless I can find a cheap, older, second XboX. Cause I don't want to F it up or my Live account! So any info is helpful
Not to change the subject, but 6, it sounds like you've got a F'n monster PC rig!!! Where do you buy or order you components from? Or did you buy a complete rig?
LOL, Thanks jeph2k3 ya its pretty up there. I bought all the parts and slapped together, i bought almost all the parts @ www.newegg.com they always have good prices and are only 50 miles from my house! I will be water cooling this system this weekend waiting on a radiator
jeph2k3: If you want to keep your live then just get one of the chips you screw on your live will still work. Im going to get a chip not going with the software way.
I did a mod on my xbox that is "chipless". As described in xbox-scene, I soldered two jumpers on the motherboard of my xbox and used the raincoat to flash the TSOP with the latest Xecutor 2 BIOS. After that, I installed a 250G WD hard drive and loaded EvoX in it. I am using the xbox as my entertainment center now. Here is the step I took: 1) Install the MechAssault exploit into my un-modified xbox 2) soldered the two jumper points on MB, 3) load MechAssault savegames named "Emergency Linux" 4) telnet into xbox from my PC 5) ftp raincoat and x2 BIOS into xbox hdd 6) run raincoat twice, first to save the original BIOS, second time to flash the X2 BIOS 7) shutdown and replace the HDD 8) power on and boot from DVD with EvoX AutoInstaller CD 9) setup everything using EvoX AutoInstaller.
