Just surfing a bit a work today and came across this site: http://www.archive.org/details/movies I was wondering if anyone had ever downloaded any movies from here as it seems to be a legitimate site for public domain movies. I assume that means there is no problem with downloading these? There are some interesting movies (mainly older ones) like "Meet John Doe" and "His Girl Friday" that I would like but there is so much more here like army documentaries from WW2 and series like Flash Gordon and Dick Tracy etc... When I get home tonight I'm going to try downloading something so if you have used it let me know or if anyone thinks this is wrong let me know. Thanks
i personaly can not see anything wrong with this site (illegitimately that is), as a matter of fact it states taht they are public domain movies etc...
I would say that home movies posted by their authors are there to be viewed/downloaded... As for the other stuff,(documentaries, etc...) i would say they're the abandonware of films... It depends on the copyright licence they had...
hey darth, is it like the full movie and stuff... my mum likes that one, id dl it if i werent on dial-up.
Dial-up Phantom? Is that all they'll supply to your cave? Can you bring a review of that film after you finish downloading it? It's not for me, it's for my kid... He should be 18 by then... o/j! Hi Phantom, you alright?
im cool permiggs how you been buddy... oh and i stopped the download, even though it would only have taken me about a day to finish, the one i was getting was crap quality... lol
