I'm not a Mac user, but I think that a similar proggy to DVD Shrink is Toast...but I don't think it's free. EDIT: Your post might be better answered here... http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/164 Requesting moved.
I think Toast is only a burning program and does not compress, I got a disk of it when I bought my Plex, it is by Roxio. Edit that I found my disk and yes it does compress, it does pretty much the same as Shrink.
arniebear is right. Toast is more like Nero, than Shrink. For macs, you can rip with Mac the Ripper, encode and shrink with Popcorn, and burn with Toast. That's how my friend does it on his iBook. Good luck! Edit: I read arniebear's post again. That's good to know that Toast will shrink too. Wonder when they started that? It didn't used to......
MACINTOSH RIP/COMPRESS/BURN GUIDE http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/125996 Toast 7 does compress and burn. Toast 6 just burns Popcorn compress and burn. it is strange that roxio did make toast 7 like popcorn and toast 6 mixed together. then they did add video conversions and extra features. but that guide should get you on your way for sure.
Hi there, i'm trying to use DVDoneX2 but having some trouble with the trial version, dose anyone have a working serial for it or know a place where i can get one. I am also trying use MPEG StreamClip but need the Quicktime mpeg-2 Playback Component but don't have the extra money to buy it. I am using quicktime 7 right now, any links to download this component. Thanks, hope to hear from someone soon.
handbrake converts dvd's into mpeg 4 but you then need idvd or imovie to burn to dvd and this application does one hell of a job
