    Ok so here goes ;-)
My parents have c****s package. All legal. I on the other hand just lost all channels last night with the box t on mmds. My parents live next door, not attatched. About 100 yards between houses. Anyway I was wondering
    1. Can my obsolete box t work for them as an extra multiroom viewing box??
    and
    2. If I got them to buy another multiroom box would I be able to use it in my house without c****s knowing? Plus would it work?

It would be great if we could get something up and running as we could split the costs.

I'm thinking that it's all highly unlikely but I just don't know what I'll do now with 2 obsolete starview boxes. They won't even work on free to view channels, will they?? ;-(

firstly, the answer is no on all counts, it would work if they were next dooor and you ran a cable, same with multiroom,

No the boxs wont work anymore, put them under the bed, dont throw them out, you never know what the future holds, but there is no firmware nor will there currently

Thanks for the reply. I might try the cable idea. If I did run a cable though, would I have to purchase the multiroom option in order to have a working box in my house? Or could I run the cable and use my box t??
    Cheers

your Box T is or will be finished, you would need some cable, 100 yrds! that and the signal degrading with that type of distance! wont work, even with an offcial sub box running on it

Ok cheers. I love trying all of these things so I'll probably give it a shot anyway. I'll let you know what happens.
