I'm not a total newbee but do admit defeat here.

    Problem:

I have a laptop and a desktop, and my laptop start to show signs of Wear & Tear. So I decided to migrate everything of value to my desktop. Now, I can't find my set-up disk for these two programs; Adobe Photoshop & HP Photosmart. So I tried to just copy and paste the programs from one pc to the next, but I get a config error, it was a long shot. I want to know if there's any registry edit or file I can alter to get these programs functioning, again.

No. You cannot move an installed program from one computer to another by copying. You need to install it properly on the second computer. You need the install disks.

Thanks for the note.. Well, I did say it was a long shot. I found the HP cd but it's too damage to go all the way. What about transfering regedit files, I know there's a way here. Or what about imaging the programs?
