Hey guys, it's been a while, looking for some help on a project. I was wondering if you guys could give me some artists with lyrics in their music that encouraged social reform in any way. I'm looking for 3 quotes for each artist, need 3 artist, so about 9 quotes from 3 artists. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
there are some System of a Down songs about reforming prisons and drug laws... most of the popular music these days doesn't focus on social reform, but more on social destruction. i think you're a bit hard-pressed, here.
well, you could look at painters, authors, and so on, but the vast majority of music these days is either about broken hearts, crappy childhoods, or how bad a thug artist is while simultaneously smokin' dope, gettin' rich, and bangin' hoes. music tends to praise or bitch, but rarely offers solutions. if anything pops into my head, i'll post it.

I agree that Freedom would be another viable choice, but as I stated earlier, just about all of their songs are of a political nature, tortured civilizations or just plain ole wrong doings by someone or some organization.
