ASF Conversion/Windows Media Encoder Failure

hey guys

im tryin to get avi files (or any video) to asf format for my mp3 player. it only supports asf. windows media encoder supposodly works. i installed wme 9 but when i clik any of the shortcuts or the actual exe, it seems like its gonna work for a second and then nothing happens.

if anybody knows how to fix this problem or a better way to convert asf files please help. Also does anyone know how to convert pictures to jpeg?

a quick through the software section shows that there are many video encoder apps, many of these should suit your needs.

theres nothin on this site than changes avi -> asf. windows media encoder is the only thing i know of.

that program converts asf to avi. i have an avi file. i need an asf file.
