Followed the Adaptec instructions to a tee but cannot run the XP installer from install.bat file. Enter xp32 in the run box as instructed and the DOS box quickly flashes with no confirmation of installation. ASPICHK checking utility indicates: aspi32.sys 4.71.2 installed ok wnaspi32.dll installed ok wowpost.exe Not Installed winaspi.dll Not Installed I gather I need all these files to be installed. Is there any other way to get the install.bat to run the installation?
Tried Force Aspi 1.8 and still does not install same 2 files. Dont't know if this has anything to do with the fact that when I run the bat file I see "Windows NT or 2000 detected" when in fact I have XP.
in the folder you extracted to run aspiinst.exe its the installer then use checkaspi.exe in there to see! http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/aspisetup.cfm
