I bought the 30$ Aspire AD-1100 DVD Player about half-year ago from Buy.com. It is now busted!! ARGH!! This el cheapo product sucks. Its just showing a very very dark screen. I can barely see anything. I tried the blue,green,red connector. I tried the yellow,white,red connector. I tried the s-video connector. All 3 connectors showed the same output. No more dvd.. no more mp3.. no more karaoke.. no more vcd for me.. boo hoo hoo. Anyone got the same player w/ the same problem? Same problem here. I bought it one year ago. And got no video after I press the "setup" key on the remote. Ask for a firmware CD might reset it to the factory default. Hopefully it will light up.
I called aspire tech support, they resolved the issue by instructing me to press "PSCAN" then "setup" key on the remote, I got my video back. The turns out that I don't have a proscan TV.
