Games work on laptops fine, and Assassins Creed works on vista fine. However, most laptops aren't powerful enough to play games (almost always the graphics adapter is integrated, and woefully underpowered to play any complex games)

Then Autoplay might not be enabled. Go to 'my computer' and double click the CD drive.

That depends on what version of windows you're using.
You must surely know what a CD drive is? it's what you put the disc into! It will be labelled either CD-ROM Drive, DVD drive or DVD-RAM drive in the 'my computer' section.

    To find 'My computer'

    1. It could be on the desktop in the top corner
    2. It could be in the start menu labelled 'my computer'
    3. It could be in the start menu labelled just 'computer'
