I recently bought all the parts I needed to build my own PC and had a fairly easy time putting everything together, except for the Intel stock fan that came with my processor (the e8400).

I was able to get two pins in easily but the last two pins seem to refuse to go in. When I started to press hard on the pins I saw that my MOBO started to bend and I think I heard some cracking noises. What I want to know is how much pressure a MOBO can take or any tips on installing the fan. This is my first time building a PC so I don't want to experiment too much and break something.

It should be dead easy to install the stock heatsink - just push pins in opposite corners down first.

Also make sure that the pins are turned in the right way. I think they all have to be turned clockwise.
