    Hey guys, i recently bought the Asus board and the AMD Antlon XP MOBO 2400+ and i cant find the settings ( or bios ) so that the motherboard recodnises the processor. It shows up as "Unknown processor type". Any help would be fantastic.

    it is the a7n8x-x or a7n8x-e deluxe because the first one has a jumper next to the chipset that says 200/266/333 fsb you should set it to 266 or higher.
    the deluxe version wich i have should recognize that cpu if is and athlon xp if is a 2400+ sempron the you should flash your bios either in dos or with window live bios update that come in your mobo asus cd!

    go to bios screen and in the advance chipset/cpu optinos put in manual the choose 133 fsb wich i belive is your cpu fsb 133x2=266fsb for 2400+.

    let me know
    hope i help

    Sry it took me so long to reply. I tried the 133x2 for a 2400+ setting, BEAUTIFUL. The thing booted recodnised the CPU ( after i upgraded the BIOS ) and its actually quite stable.

    Thanx Dr.XP & DDP
