    I've got a Asus A8n32-sli deluxe

    2 ASUS EN6800GT/2DT/256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Cards

    4 gigs

    64x2 dual core 4400 2.21ghz

The question I ask is, why does the board only let me use 2.48 gigs? In bios it shows the four gigs but only lets the comp run 2.48 of it.

check the jumper settings on the board you may have it set to the wrong FSB. it should be set to 2000MHz HT or whatever the highest one is.

you may also be able to change that in the bios

what are you talking about exactly the cache on an amd dual core is 2 meg at most not 2 gigs

the processor should run as 2 2.2ghz processors and have a cache of either 512kb or 1mb per core
