hello, i have been backing up dvd's for a while now using a vivastar drive which writes at 1x. obviously that takes a lot of time. so last week i bought an asus 0402p drive which is supposed to write at 4x. i use datawrite yellow 4x discs and i have downloaded firmware 1.3 from the asus support site. can anyone tell me if their is an updated firmware that supports these discs (maybe a pioneer 105 firmware, as i was told that my 0402p is just a re-badged 105 but if this is the case, will a pioneer (or other) firmware invalidate my warranty. can anyone help as i am stumped.
