According to my specs, should I upgrade to the new ATI 4870X2 now, or should I wait until Christmas? And will I be able to run EA's new horror game: Dead Space and Crysis at very high settings with the ATI 4870X2? My friend has the 4870X2 and it can run Crysis on very high settings. I think your processor is close to the same speed as his. If you want to make sure you have everything else to run it you can try this site: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest but from the looks of your specs your should be able to. (with the 4870X2) also if your waiting till december to get it, then yes boxing day is still a good day to get it, but mind you I wouldn't be suprised if ATI came out with an even better card before then. edit: spelling
I run one of these cards. At 1920x1200, there's nothing it can't do. Assuming you don't use AA, it can also run Crysis at all high at 2560x1600 with a good frame rate. I'm not so sure about Very High, but at 1920x1200 or below it could certainly do it. This card sounds like the ideal partner for your build.
