i have a ATI RADEON X800 XL card in a Asus SLI Deluxe Mobo and the catalyst control panel will not work when i access it though it appears in the WINDOWS TAKS MANAGER under PROCESSES as "atidtct.exe"
why wont this work? is it because i have a nvidia motherboard and a RADEON graphics card or is it simply a software or system error, by the way i did dl the new drivers along with the catalyst control panel
    can anyone help? PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Your radeon card should work ok with the asus board - nividia is just the chipset for the mobo. When you try to access the catalyst control panel does the icon show in your system tray?(bottom left corner)
If not do you get any error mesgs?

no i didnt see a icon in the right hand corner
but i seemed to fixed when i dwonloaded the drivers from www.guru3d.com then the control panel and everything seemed to work fine by the way Need for speed underground 2 graphics are awesome in on this card
on my old one: Nvidia Gefroce 5200 pci plus from MADDOG the game NFSU:2 looked like crap the taillights are very different now
before they didnt look like Euro Lights but now i can see the inside of the taillight meaning the casing and even the light itself is fully 3D
let me sum it too all of you: RADEON=WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
