I am interested in getting my CCNA certification and I want to know if it is worth getting. I dont have a college degree and wanted to know if being certified will help me get a better job even though I dont have a degree?
Well CCNA will help but not that much. Most jobs in that area require you to have a degree. And you also have to retest every 3 years I beleive.CCNA really only means you kow how to work cisco equipment.i would invest into going to college if you really want too get into that job area....... Oh and this definentley not the right forum
Thanks, but I would still like more opinions and input on this subject. Sorry for posting in the wrong forum. I went to college for a year then I had a kid and dropped out. Anyways I am wanting to go to Ivy Tech and get my assoc. degree in comp science, but I will have to do night classes cause of my current job (crane operator). So going to school and having a full time job would be difficult, but it is currently an option Im looking at since the school year is about to start and Im only 21. Someone told me that with a CCNA that CISCO offers job placement and I was hoping for this to be true as I am ready to take my CCNA.
