audio ahead of video

    The problem is that i have a few avi files and the sound is ahead by about 5 seconds of the video. Can anyone help me with this problem?

    Lets see if this helps. Where did the AVI file originate from? Did you capture it? This happened to me when I was capturing a home made movie. I used a diff capture (Video Editing) software and it helped, all was in sync.

    na i didn't capture it, i just downloaded it from a site.

    Maybe they are set a different rates or the file you d/led might be the problem.
