Hi Ppl, I am new to this forum and probably this is my first thread and its regarding a help i need. I have been searching the net for 15 days to find a good solution, but have not got any, so thought ppl from here could help do this. I have Audio CD which is 5.1 Dolby Surround with DTS and all of you know this is not a normal audio cd, this plays only in a DVD Player even when I play on my DVD Drive on PC, I dont hear any sound or nothing, but when I searched over the google, i found some sites pointing to "WinDVD" helps you plas DTS based cd's and It did help me play this songs, but the quality really sucked. I want to know, thought I dont have 5.1 sound card, does this is my only probably which disallows me from hearing the DTS quality. But my exact help is, I wanna rip this into possible format (prefer : .mp3), so that i can store to my HDD and play it when ever I need. But the quality along with DTS should be same, or if MP3 does not support DTS and surround quality, tell me a good way to convert this to a format, that supports "DTS & Surround Sound" and a software that can play this smoothly (open source or freeware wud be good), so please help me on this regard asap! Thanks in advance! Looking forward for your help and support!
VLC media player will play DTS audio cd's on a 2 channel sound card easily and perfectly. It often comes with DTS sound files on the internet. It's free so you should be able to find it anywhere.
