Please help me clear up some confusion over audio quality. I have a large MP2 file (extracted from a DTivo) at 48kHz and 192bps. What is the best method to convert this to a standard audio CD with the best audio quality? Using an audio converter, I have converted the MP2 file into a wav file (44.1kHz, stereo, 16 bit) and burned on a CD. The quality of the audio is noticebly less than audio CD.

Two very good programs are dBpowerAMP and CDex. I would recommend trying dBpowerAMP first and if it doesn't work, try CDex. You can download dBpowerAMP here:

    dBpowerAMP Music Converter
    http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

    You can download CDex here:

    CDex
    http://www.cdex.n3.net

    Hope this helps!
