When converting a folder of vobs from pal to ntsc in Canopus ProCoder 2 I get significant audio distortion. I use the directshow ac3 decoder for this, and the other 3 decoders have been the same if not worse. Using MPEG Audio Layer-2 for my "audio stream type", there is an annoying squeeking noise that ruins the audio. Using PCM (Wave File) for my stream type, the volume is so low with everything on max I can barely hear it.

    Any ideas?

*Update* I think it has to do with the sound on the original file being ac3 dolby digital and its try to convert it to just mpeg audio layer-2, I am pretty ignorant of sound issues though.....
Does canopus procoder 2 not support dolby digital encoding?
I am current using "DivxToDVD", but it drops so many frames and produces an audio delay so it sucks.
