for those of you who are familiar with the movie "the matrix", i was wondering what they did to neo's voice in the scene where the liquid mirror is going down his throat. his voice is, umm, "digitalized", i guess. i don't know how to explain it - it's like it is split into several distinct frequencies with nothing in between. anyway, i was just wondering how that was done. thanks.
there's probably several ways of doing it, depending on the software. For example, I could do it using Pro Tools, however it requires expensive plugins like the WAVES bundles. I tried it using Resonance, Doppler, and a few hi/lo gates, and it sounds similar. My guess is it would be difficult to find a cheap audio processing app to do it.
