When I record VHS tapes - commercial and non commercial - to hard disc, the playback picture is fine but the sound goes up and down. If I record from DVD exactly the same way, there is no problem. The tapes are good quality, and the sound is good when played to a regular TV. Any ideas?
Sorry, problem solved. I tried a friend's tape, recorded in nicam stereo, and it recorded beautifully - sound and all. My tapes can't have been as good as I thought.
