Just for starters, I tried using the search feature but either got too many results for it or none at all.

I am trying to figure what I am doing wrong when burning audio cd's. I put together a list of songs, burn them, but when I try to play them at work, or in other cd players the songs artist and title are not listed. All it says is Track 1 or 2 or so on. I have tried doing audio cd, MP3 disc, and data disc. I have tried Nero ( I have Nero 6 ultra) WMP, and a few other programs, but it seams that they dont burn the artist name and song title. Can some one point me to the topis or post already out there, or post some help please?

    Thank you for you time,

    Shawn_nee

Sorry, I forgot some info for you.

I would prefer to use Nero to burn but am open to suggestions for other programs.
I ripped all of my music with WMP10 in mp3 format.
I would prefer to create the cd with mp3's instead of wav formats or others. Just so I can put more on the disc.
if there are any other questions please let me know.

If your ripping your cd collection only to then make audio cd's out of them then it's best to rip to WAV. However if your making MP3 cd's then use this program http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm to rip them to MP3. It's called Exact Audio Copy and is the best MP3 ripper around.

Also have the MP3 files been tagged correctly.

Yeah I made sure the id3 tags were correct, but I remember it including the info before. Man to go back and re-rip 500 cd's is going to be a pain in the a$$. Any other suggestions?

If you have 500 cd's then it's probably not worth re-ripping unless your an extremely patient person.

Also unless the systems your playing these cd's on can read track names then it will display Track 1, Track 2 etc. So it's not the fault of Nero.

I have nreo installed on my 2 home computers, and I burn the cd in one walk it to the other computer pop it in and use nero's media player and it reads it as track 1 2 etc. Can it be the options I am using to burn the disc?

Try playing it with another media player such as Winamp and see what happens.

ok this is an old thread but I just got back for it. I changed options on the burn and did it as a data disc and tried it both as disc at once and track at once. Both came out the same. The song info is listed but niether will play in a cd play outside of a computer. I know it's because of the data format. If I use music plus data do you think it'll work?
