Audio not in sync when subtitles are added

    i wasnt sure what forum to post in so i chose this one

    anyways my problem, i want to add subitiles to a movie, i use virtualdub and Textsub. once i follow the procedure and view the output video, the audio is out of sync with the video but the subtitles are in sync with the video. i know the file audio is ok cos i checked it

    i have tried this with 2 different movies. what is the problem?

    Did you get a warning about the audio when you opened the avi?

    yeh i did get a warning, actually i did on both movies. The warning is:

    for one movie:
    [​IMG]

    for the other:
    [​IMG]

    they are both the same but its just the aduio skew amount is different. is that the cause of the problem??

    You should take note of warnings next time. Either follow it or use VirtualDubMod instead since it can handle VBR mp3.

    For now, I would open the original files with AVIMuxGUI, demux the mp3. Open the re-encoded avi's, add the audio you just demuxed, untick the CBR audio and remux.

    No sense encoding twice just to fix the audio.
