Riddle me this. I have some old home movies that I transferred from VHS to DVD, no problem, and got rid of the VHS tape. I wanted to edit some of the clips in Premier so I captured the clips that I wanted as avi's. Also no problem. I can play the avi in media player etc without any issues. If I take the same clip, import it into Premier, then export it as an avi, mpeg or anything else, the audio is out of sync, or non existent. I have been messing with this for 3 days now - any ideas?

The only thing I can think of that might be causing the problem is based on PAL system issues I've had. When you are exporting from Premier to MPEG format PAL is 24fps and Film is 25fps so the PAL MPEG file ends up being 4% shorter - this will cause loss of audio and out of sync audio.
