I tried looking at the audio sync post on this thread but i didn't find a solution....

I have a movies that when i load it into AVIcodec it tells me the fps is 14.985 (is this a bad frame rate to begin with???)

I did a conversion using DivxtoDVD ver. 1.99.12.27 The avi is perfectly in sync.

After converting and burning to DVD using the DivxtoDVD i played the DVD on a home DVD player and the audio was out of sync by a word. You hear the word then the mouth moves.

Is there a process to make the audio and video sync using the above mentioned program?

    Thank You.

Well if your AVI file uses VBR MP3 audio then it will allways go out of Sync after converting the AVI to DVD, To avoid this you must Decompress the audio in the AVI file before you convert it to DVD...

You can decompress the audio in your AVI by useing "Virtual-Dub"..

What you do is Load in your AVI file and you should get a Message saying that the audio is VBR Mp3, then you set the Video" to "Direct Stream Copy" and then set the "Audio" to "Full processing Mode" and then go to "File" to "Save as AVI"a dn Give the File a Name and save it and in a Few Minutes you will have a New AVI file with Decompressed audio that should Not go out of Sync after converting it to DVD....

    Cheers
