I want to make a dvd of blade two from a divx. I had ac3 sound with the divx. The divx was in two discs. I joined them with VirtualDub and when i play that file I have audio till the end of the movie.(with media player). Then I stripped the audio from the avi and putted it in an ac3-file. When I play that again with media-player I also get the audio from the entier movie. Now when I use IfoEdit I get this error And when I play the dvd I only get sound till half way the movie. Is there perhaps another program that can create from a m2v, a ac3 and sup and chapter file a dvd like ifoedit? It would help me a lot because i don't know what to do anymore to make it work
Oke now i used tmpgenc dvd author to join the ac3-file and the m2v-file. Now I have audio with the entier movie but no subtitle. Now when i demuxed the new created vob-files and used ifoedit again to add the subs and i rejoined everything He gives the same problem as before. Can somebody help me please because i'm out of ideas
You might want to try using Rejig to author instead of IfoEdit. It uses the same interface but I don't think it's the same code doing the authoring. If that gives you errors as well I'd have to say the problem is on of your source files and not the authoring app. Edit: Oops. Nope it still doesn't work. The program doesn't continue when he reaches that point. But how come that tmpgenc dvd author can do it without any problem? the only thing i noticed is that when i play the ac3 file and it reaches that point in the movie where normally the sound just falls away it because a lot louder. Perhaps i should use another program to extract the ac3-file? but wich one?
Well judging from where the multiplexing stops (51%) it looks more like a problem with the join, not the demux. Unfortunately I can't help you much there since I don't encode DVDs from DivX so I've never had to do it myself. I think you can join AC3 files with BeSweet, and I'd frameserve the video with AviSynth (which would join them as well), but I'm not sure how to join subtitle files.
I have solved the problem. I found a program on the web called ac3fix. I loaded my joined file in the program and afterwards I used ifoedit and it worked. This is the link to the program: http://www.roderz.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ac3/tips.htm#fix
