I have an .AVI film and have tired to put it onto DVD twice and both times the sound is very faint and garbled.

I used DivxToDVD the first time and DVDSanta the second. The .VOB's on both cases playback ok on my PC and the sound is fine but when I burn to DVD using Nero Burning ROM the sound comes out like I described before very faint and garbled like someone is talking underwater.

    Any ideas?

Just to add to my post...

I just tried to open the AVI file in VirtualDub and got the following message....

Virtual Dub has detected an improper VBR Audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values.

I have no idea what this means so could some kind person tell me and maybe explain in detail what and how I can correct the audio so it burns and plays ok.

Note: The burned DVD plays and sounds fine on my PC it is just my DVD player that doesn't like it. I have made loads of DVD's and all play fine in my player so why this one?

    Thanks for any help!
