Being a novice in converting DVD to SVCD with TMPGEnc, i have started by following the process laid down in the Afterdawn article 'DVD to SVCD with TMPGEnc'. When i reach the stage to using TMPGEnc and picking the audio source, the guidance says to pick the wav file created when undertaking the project creation with DVD2AVI. Instead of a wav file, my project seems to have created two AC3 files. when i try to select one of these, the TMPGEnc application says the file format is unsupported. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks
    Neil

Did you make sure to decode to .wav in DVD2AVI?

i have followed the DVD2AVI audio settings instructions on afterdawn, however, they are not very clear. it doesn't mention a wav file. it say that you should select decode under dolby digital on the audio menu. my menu does not completely reflect the screen shot on the instructions as it does not have decode. the only similar option i seemed to have, and hence selected, was the demux option.

    thanks for your initial response.
