Hi all, Many frustrations trying to burn decent copies of dvds onto dvd-9 discs. (i thought it best to back up my dvd collection to dvd-9 so no loss of quality). Have tried using nero 6 with dvd43 (latest), but incurred audio sync problems either a) straight disc to disc or b) copying whole disc to HD then burning from there. after contacting nero ppl, they said to upgrade to latest nero (7) and update firmware - done both but still having probs. After reading many forums decided to try DVDdecrypter and the burn using DVDshrink (no compression) and still get audio sync problems. (also wanted to take backups which are region-free - is DVDdecrypter the only way to do this or is there an on-the-fly/disc-to-disc approach?) any help greatly apprecied
Hi, Dont use DVD43, a nut programme use anydvd instead. Nero 7 has some bugs in it try to upgrade to version 7570. What brand of dvd media are you using? Do not use media like memorex or any cheap dvd media. Use dvd media like verbratim, maxell, taiyo yuden. Set your burning speed at X4 (The higher your speed, the chances of getting more roasters. I suggest you install AC3 filter and here is the link: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ac3filter.cfm Try uninstall DVD43 and install anydvd for 21days trial period. Dvdshrink goes fine with anydvd. After doing all these, do a re-boot and try to copy your dvd again and let me know if everything is fine. Happy Burning....
Have you tried looking here? http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t230015.html DVD shrink doesn`t burn, it shrinks (compresses) and uses Nero to burn to disc, and DVD Decrypter to write images. I would also avoid using cheap Media like Memorex. Verbatim is well recommended.
Something don't sound right. I've never had audio sync issues when copying DVD's and can't recall any being mentioned. A search here turned up zilch. Those issues usually refer to avi conversions. Try an older one that DVDdecrypter can handle. Use Mode-> File and rip it. Then use ImgBurn. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1780 The link PAD48 supplied has nothing to do with DVD copying.
