audio TOO HOT and over saturated

    My Audio on playback is distorted and sounds "overdriven" on play back. Is there any way to control the audio level in the recording proscess to bring it down a few db.

    Yes there is but it depends. But once you've got it "saturated" like that, there is no way to reverse it. You'd have to re-encode the audio, and then merge it with ur current video, and pray that it will not get outta sync...
    Or you could just re-encode the whole thing.

    There are some DirectX plugings which fixes audio streams which are 'clipped'. They soften the buzzing/distortion after restoration. Worth checking out. (sorry, can't remember who make the sw)
