i tried to encode an mpeg2 file in encore dvd 1.5 with a custom present i set and each time i try it, the transcode goes thru the video portion but when it hits the end of the audio portion of the transcoding, the encore program screen turns black and in the windows task manager applications tab it shows not responding... i dont know how to finish the project with encore dvd 1.5 and how to fix it??? all i tried was to shorten the files name to under ten letters
it may have re encoded the file, when i imported the asset it then transcoded both video first and then audio but im not sure..
well if EncoreDVD does re-encode your Mpeg-2 file then the Mpeg-2 file must not be DVD Compliant, if this is the Case and it is when encodeing when it Crashes then maybe you should Try encodeing your Mpeg-2 file to a DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 file useing a standalone encoder and then EncoreDVD will not have to re-encode and Hopefully will not Crash.... You could allways Just use something else to author your DVD Like "MediaChance DVDLab pro" which is One of the best there is and can do anything that encoreDVD can do (Accept encode)..... good luck
