I downloaded a video and then used Nero Vision to make a dvd video. The audio sometimes wasn't going with the video. This only applied to the Nero made DVD not the downloaded file. If a person said something the audio wasn't in sync with the persons lips. This was not consistant thru-out the whole movie. Sometimes it was in sync and sometimes not. In the same scene even. I wonder if its the fact that I was using a DVD-R When I should have used a Dual Layer disc. Maybe two much compression (but the video was smooth) or maybe just all the downloads and uploades that the video(movie file) went thru(Meaning the video file was passed around on the internet copied, reloaded ,uploaded, downloaded etc.) I tried disabling the smart encoding, doing high quality pass. Disabling the smart encoding was better but not perfect.
Try creating the DVD files with DVD Flick. Test the output files for sync before burning the disk. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm
