Hi, I've looked at some audio software editors (dbpoweramp, goldwave, etc) I want to rip some of my maxell cd-r media of audio cds onto taiyo yuden cd-r disc. I would like to enhance the volume, and I do not understand all the filter settings. The volume is very low if I burn an old maxell disc to a new taiyo yuden disc. I would like to make the volume alittle louder without distorting the songs. I did re encoding some wav files with a louder volume setting, and that did make the songs distorted Kimmi
Many programs have a "normalizing" function to set the volume on files. You might want to try this one... http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/
just leave them the way they are..."normalizing" features on most audio apps really shred the quality of the file.... I find it hard to beleive that doing a copy of nothing but ones and zeros from one CDR to another CDR results in a drop in volume...have you tried playing these audio discs on other stereos or computers? What was the original source files the audio came from? (mp3, cd...)
