Here it is ... I have a DVD from church where I wanted to add several items. The first was to display a background (any picture I chose) and show pre-credits of the movie ... ie. Photography: Tom Adams ... next image ... Transfer Technician ... John Broome ... etc

The next issue is placing a time-mark on the DVD to indicate a chapter. And then obviously creating this in the DVD menu so most users can select whichever chapter they so choose.

The movie is currently on my hard drive.

I have MyDVD and played around with it until I was blue in the face.
This is a 3 minute project and after several hours I finally gave up and uninstalled the program.

Are there any other DVD authring programs out there that can do what I am looking to accomplish?

There are plenty o proggy's available. I suggest using Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus or Ulead media studio to author your movies. Nero 7 also has a movie editor, but I still prefer to use Pinnacle studio because of it's superior ease of use. Completely point and click gui interface. Simply import your DVD files into the story board and add your personalizations to your hearts content.
