When i turn my avis into .mpg with tempgenc+ , i can decode the sound to "linear PCM" or "MP2". But i figured Linear pcm wouldn't be compressed and takes too much palace in my .mpg , whereas MP2 enables you to choose the bitrate and gain lots of place. But still , every .MPG decoded in MP2 i author with tmpg dvd author doesn't have any sound :/ Does anybody have a solution ?
If your AVI file has VBR Mp3 audio like Many do then Tmpgenc will Not be able to read the audio when encodeing to Mpeg-2 so you Should extract the audio from your AVI to Wav format and then Load the Extracted Wav file into Tmpgenc as the Audio source and the AVI in as the Video Source and then encode to Mpeg-2 and then you should have audio....
This is the audio format of my files : 0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3 according to Gspot , what should i do then ?
Gspot will Not tell you if the Audio is VBR Mp3... If you PM me with your E-Mail address I can send you a simple tool Called "Decompress.exe" that will decompress the audio in your AVI file so Tmpgenc will be able to read it..... Cheers
