I am a total newbie to this.

I have a bunch of video clips etc that I want to burn to DVD+R and have a menu for. All told I think there are 8 clips that are 500 MB in size total.

I was using Nero Vision to make a DVD+VR and just added the clips so I could then create a menu. However it told me that I had like 8gb worth of stuff to burn. I figure it is recoding it. I don't want to recode it, I just want a menu.

Is this possible with other software?

    Thanks!

indeed, nero vision is reencoding your files, in fact, nero vision renencodes all video files even if they don't need to be reencoded.

try "TMPGEnc DVD Author" instead, it's good for folks who want something simple for creating menus and what not...

my dvd player plays them just fine.
