I have two films on dvd without chapters is there away I can add chapters without going through the process of smart ripper, dvd2avi,tmpge,spruce up, I pray to god there is a quicker way.
use dvddecrpter or smart ripper demux the video and audio Open IFOedit choose DVD author add video and audio files make a .txt file with the chapter points you want in it as frames (work them out with time/fps) and make it this format 1234 2456 4568 etc add this as the chapter points in IFOedit click go. It will now reauthor the DVD with chapter points in it. get VTS sectors and burn it. There is AFAIK no way to add them to the disc you have.
If you have the original film you can save the chapter points as a .txt file uisng IFOedit (or indeed the chapter points of any film the same length if you are feeling lazy)
