im trying to make a dvd into a divx using auto gk. my film in three files VTS_02_1 VTS_02_2 vTS_02_3 on first part of program where you select input file it will only let me select one of the above...thus only part of film. obviously doing something really stupid so any help pls. cheers..
You should have a VTS_01_0.IFO file to work with when you rip your DVD. As you can see the input and output file location will be at the top. After you have the VTS_01_0.IFO file in there everything will be cake. What program are you using to get the IFO files may I ask?
i ripped dvd with dvd decrypter. have now used another program to convert to xvid (xilisoft mp4 converter ) well i think its xvid... i now have three files that say AVI ? is this a xvid or what it says AVI ( is there a difference ) obviously new to this converting lark. cheers.
Xvid is a video codec, avi is a container format. If you want Xvid video, together with audio, then it needs to go in a container, hence the avi file. For AutoGK, you should rip in IFO mode.
