recently installed the latest autogk 2.55.worked fine for a few jobs but lately it wont proceed past the compressibility test stage even if i leave working overnight.running 32 bit vista home premium also with some jobs i get the range check error.any help would be great thanks.
Not sure what to suggest, i've converted literally 1000's of my movies with AutoGK with no freezes (under WinXP). Have done many conversions under Win7 also (32-bit).
oddly I was testing a heap for somebody running xp last night, and autogk refused to work.. just sat there saying analyzing.... all night. it's the latest as well.. so something is up.
I forgot to add before, i've used both 2.45 and 2.55, not sure of the percentage of movies done with either, suffice it to say that a lot of them were done via 2.55 as that was from way back in February..
many thanks, do you think it might be a compatibility issue because i tried all day yesterday to get something converted small clips different conversions like shrink rips dvdfab rips doesn't want to play ball. might just have to wait for a few more to experience the same.thanks again.
You're saying the ones you're having problems with are DVDFab rips ?. If so, you're not getting clean enough rips, run any files ripped by DVDFab thru Vobblanker. It's a complex program but you only need it's simplest mode - just point it at a ripped directory, point it towards an output directory and hit 'Process'. AutoGK should be ok then...
I forgot to mention before, in case you doesn't know, if you want the output from AutoGK to be a single file you need to choose a non-even output size, ie 699MB instead of 700MB etc
thanks for sharing your knowledge,i know this may be a little extreme but i like this autogk and i do a lot of converting so i need it working.i decided to reformat my c drive and what a surprise it worked first time.i guess time will tell if it will continue to perform.thanks creaky.
Nice one. AutoGK has a batch feature too, just keep adding all the movies and they'll batch run when you're ready.
thanks, did not know about that single file option you mentioned previously.I've been using a program called vob joiner to combine the ripped files to one single file works ok but probably the long way round.
