    Hello,

I wanted to try encoding a dvd to divx / xvid for the first time, so I downloaded AutoGK and started working on a dvd. When I select the vob file and make a preview, playing the resulting file will show no video, and plays only sound.

I have vlc and ffdshow codec pack instaled and normally all divx files play prefectly fine. So I don't understand what the problem is.

Does anyone know what might be going wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Here is the auto gk output of the preview:

In later versions, MPC was included in the installed path as the preview player.

2.45 is the latest stable release. Should I install a beta instead?

And are preview files essentially different from the actual output files? I mean when the preview doesn't play in VLC, the actual encoded file will play..?

    Thanks for ur help

...just as a quick test I installed MPC and tried to play the file in there: same problem.

    audio, no video...

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks!

PS I am ripping from a iso file loaded in daemon tools. Could that be the problem?

I don't think the ISO is the problem.
Is the 'Audio Track(s)' checked in the left window and your selecting 'VTS_01_1.IFO'?

Attar, thanks for the suggestion. I registered at doom9 but unfortunately have to wait 5 days before I can post a thread... :-(

    Cheers
