Hello, I had my atuomatic update turned on and I did not want it to be turned on, but I only found out after it automatically downloaded some updates but I did not want to install them so, I clicked on the little link they give you on the screen where it says Express Install (recommended) and Custom Install. The link was change automatic update settings.
I clicked on it and changed the settings to turn off atumatic updates.
Now it is off and I did not have to install the update it had already downloaded, but I want to know is, is the update it downloaded for me to install, which I did not install, still on my computer? Like waiting for me to turn the Auto Update back on again? Or has it been deleted after I changed the settings? If it has not been deleted, then how do I get rid of it?

All Help Is Greatly Appreciated, Thank You.

    BluRay.

Thank you, but you see the thing is I have not even installed the updates, I think they are still somewhere on my computer waiting to be installed and I dont want that as I beleive it takes up space so I want to get rid of that and not the actuall update.

im not sure how windows update works but other programs would stash the files in your temp directory which should be located at C:\Documents and Settings\**your user name**\Local Settings\Temp\, good luck.
