How do I use an avatar on this site? I already have it on my P.C ready to upload but thus far have been unable to do so. Please help, Im starting to feel computer iliterate!

Ok so I read the thread description on how to add an Avatar but unfortunatly it is about as clear as mud to me! Could you at all simplify the explanation? I successfully uploaded the image to the descibed location but am at a loss as to how to or what to copy into my signiture box. I copied the image link but that only displayed the link as my signiture! Man could'nt AfterDawn have made this simpler?????? Thanks
Avatar are not used on this site,ye must put ye signature in ye signature field go to your account page Visit My account -page then Edit personal information then here at bottom of the page.. Your signature field This field is meant for your signature that will be used in our discussion forums if you write or reply any comments there. You can't use any HTML tags in here, those wont be used if you add them, but you can include URLs that begin with http:// in your signature file -- those URLs will be used as regular links. rules on Signatures These rules exist to make viewing the forum as pleasant as possible to all users. Even though you might think signatures with large pictures look cool, some might find them extremely annoying. 1. Text-only signatures should have at most 5 lines of text. 2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall. 3. If you use an animated picture in the signature, it should not be too distractive. Eg. blinking images or images with quick movement are not allowed. 4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text. 5. All the abovementioned rules for forum posts apply also to the signatures. Violation of these rules does not lead to an immediate ban. However if requested user must edit his or her signature to fit these guidelines. example i do not use a signature this is what it should looks like
Nope all I get is this frustratingly annoying bloody address as a signiture!!!!!!!! What am I doing wrong! (All help greatly appreciated despite my aggitated rants ;-)
I make my own Avatar/sig and I try to change it once a month, so it won't look too plain all the times.
the img must be in lower case,not caps..amd do not add this at the end of the string...>>>>[/URL] this is yours [/URL] it should look like this but no caps in the img...lower case in the letters.
