Ok now i thought this would be easy record a show then burn to dvd to watch later.

Yep it recorded fine, but how do i get it to work on a DVD ?

I have used a program called PVAStrumento which i guess has cleaned it up to mpeg2 ?

So now what do i do, i have an mpg file which plays fine on the pc but now want to make it into a dvd that will play on a normal player. I have Nero 6 and have tried just doing DVD Movie and that wants VOB files. I have tried CDR and trying VCD and that says i need to buy a plugin.

Is there an easy way i can sort this out ?, before i go and buy 10 cans of lager to rest my head :)

[bold]A DVD is made up of files like this :[/bold]

    VIDEO_TS BUP 16,384
    VIDEO_TS IFO 16,384
    VIDEO_TS VOB 43,008
    VTS_01_0 BUP 77,824
    VTS_01_0 IFO 77,824
    VTS_01_0 VOB 1,695,744
    VTS_01_1 VOB 1,073,565,696
    VTS_01_2 VOB 1,048,565,696
    VTS_01_3 VOB 1,048,565,696
    VTS_01_4 VOB 589,365,248
    VTS_02_0 BUP 18,432
    VTS_02_0 IFO 18,432
    VTS_02_0 VOB 43,008
    VTS_02_1 VOB 6,014,976

If you have a mpeg2 file then just run that through TMPGEnc DVD Author & it'll convert to files like the ones shown above mate.

    Your nearly there ; )
