Yeah, my pagefile.sys file in C:\ is 2gb now, is that normal? And if it's high, is there anything I can do to compress or make it smaller?
Sorry Rickster....but defragging has nothing to do with the size allotment for the pagefile. Nor will the generic defragger in Windows touch the pagefile. Programs like PerfectDisk and DisKeeper can. To manage the pagefile, right click My Computer, go to Properties. Click on Advanced, then the Settings button under Performance. Click on the second tab Advanced, then the Change button under Virtual Memory. Set the min/max sizes the same...but you really shouldn't need anymore than 1536 for those settings. Make sure you click on the Set button after making the changes. Expanding the pagefile will be automatic...taking some away from it, and you'll need to restart Windows.
