AVI 5.1 RECORDING AND PLAYBACK

    Hi,This is my first post......I am in the habbit of downloading avi files,divx,xvid,etc...and just burning them as data to a dvd to playback in my standalone player....recently,alot of them have been encoded in 5.1 dts....or a52 6 channel.....I had an apex ad1250x and when i played back a 700 mb flick burnt with ac3 5.1...it showed up in the audio as 5 channels.....it broke and ive upgraded to an rca drc275n...and the same flick will only show 2 channels...yet i put it back in comp and its clearly burnt in 5 channels....any ideas...

    hmmm....
    is this in the wrong spot or does no one come here anymore,or can no one help?
    is there another site that answers questions

    Not sure what information you need, sounds like a limitation
    of the dvd player itself.

    Videohelp.com has a good hardware section...
