avi codecs

    Hi all you clever people out there,hope someone can explain how to use FFDSHOW to uncompress an avi file(rambo 4)if possible.Thamks a lot..D.C.TENERIFE.

    I'm not clear on what you want to do with this file.
    If the compression used for the AVI (DivX , XviD, etc) is configured in FFDSHOW and the AVI is being played back using the likes of Media Player Classic, then the player will use the settings in FFDSHOW to diplay the movie.
    And that's about the limit of my knowledge of FFDSHOW.
