I was just wondring after you get the final AVI from virtual dub, is there any way to compress the file even more?
to quote Avery Lee (virtual dubs creator) "If you can gain any significant compression (>5%) with general purpose utilities such as WinZIP and RAR, then you're not making your AVI correctly. If you can reduce the file a lot, it means either you have wasted space in your file (JUNK chunks) or your compression codecs are inefficient. Remove JUNK chunks with VirtualDub and compress the audio. There are few advantages to packing AVIs and it is a royal pain for those receiving the file." So i guess thats a no then. to get smaller files choose different settings in virtual dub (codecs etc)
