AVI Conversion

    I'm fairly new to this, and i tried looking for the answers elsewhere, but was unable to find the answers.
    I downloaded a large 2 part avi file, i need to know the neccessary steps or what tools do i need to convert the avi files so they can be burned to dvdr.
    If there is anyone that has a suggestion, Please Help.

    Check the guides on this site or at http://www.dvdrhelp.com

    There are many ways to do what you're asking. Best thing is to read up on it first.

    Basic steps:

    1) Encode to MPG2 (DVD compliant or xDVD)
    2) Use DVD authoring program to "make" your DVD
    3) Use a burner to burn your compilation. (sometimes proggies from step 2 will do this for your automatically)
